Building Skills for a Bright Future
Lukas, a Participant at the Mai-Wel Academy, is making incredible progress in his career journey. Over the past 12 weeks, Lukas has taken part in a work experience program at Mai-Wel’s Timber Industries, where he’s been gaining hands-on experience and valuable industry skills.
Working alongside supported employees, Lukas has been learning the ins and outs of timber handling, safely operating machinery and tools, and following workplace health and safety practices. Beyond technical skills, he’s also been strengthening his ability to work in a team environment, an essential skill for any workplace.
This experience has not only given Lukas the opportunity to explore his interest in the timber industry but also equipped him with a solid foundation for his future career goals.
