Membership with Mai-Wel

Mai-Wel Limited is a not-for-profit organisation rooted in the Hunter Region, delivering services and supports that help people live the life they choose. As a member-based organisation, Mai-Wel welcomes Memberships from people who share our values and want to play a formal role in the ongoing life of the organisation.

Our members are people who care about inclusion, equity, and diversity, who believe in the work we do, and who want to stay connected to the communities we work alongside over the longer term. Membership offers a quiet but meaningful way to be part of what Mai-Wel continues to build.

Why become a Member?

Members sit within the formal structure of Mai-Wel Limited and contribute to its ongoing direction.

As a member, you will:

  • Be invited to our Annual General Meeting, with the opportunity to vote on matters that shape our governance.
  • Receive updates on the work happening across Mai-Wel programs, services, and social enterprises.
  • Be welcomed into our community of supporters and invited to events and milestones throughout the year.
  • Stand alongside an organisation that has spent decades working toward a more inclusive Hunter Region.

How to apply

Applications for Membership are reviewed and approved by the Mai-Wel Limited Board.

To apply, you’ll need:

  • A completed Membership Application form.
  • Two current Mai-Wel members to nominate your application.
  • Acceptance of the Mai-Wel Constitution and the Members and Directors Conflict of Interest Policy.

A one-off joining fee of $1.00 and an annual membership fee of $5.50 (including GST) apply, totalling $6.50. Fees are only payable once the Board has approved your application, and our Executive Assistant will be in touch with payment options at that point.
