Mai-Wel delivers a range of supports out in the community and in our fit-for-purpose locations that promote social connections, creative exploration, community engagement, skill building, independence, confidence and more!

Our supports offer unique and flexible experiences tailored to meet your needs and goals. You will be supported by skilled Support Workers and specialised Mentors across three key areas: Creative Arts, Social and Community Access and Skill Building Supports.

Our programs of support are delivered in blocks of a minimum of 12 weeks.

Social and Community Access

Want to meet new people, make friends and discover new opportunities? Our social and community access programs will support you to do all that and more!

By heading out into the community in groups, our participants have opportunities to take part in activities in their local community and make new friends.
These supports are a great way to build confidence, independence and skills to access the local community and uncover local opportunities.

Some examples of activities under this umbrella include:

  • Social groups with your peers e.g. Chill Out, Ladies Night
  • Getting involved in the community garden
  • Going to the movies

Want to learn something new? Dare to try an unusual hobby or achieve a unique goal? Our skill building programs are goal-based and flexible to support you to achieve your goals. These unique programs focus on building confidence, discovering new strengths and exploring different activities all with the aim of increasing independence.
