Five and a Half Years Strong: Sam’s Journey with Inclusive Employment Australia

Some workplace milestones speak for themselves, and five and a half years with the same employer is one of them.

Sam has been part of the maintenance and horticulture team at East Cessnock Bowling Club for five and a half years, and in that time he has become a valued member of the team.

His contribution to the club’s grounds and facilities has not gone unnoticed, with Sam recently being offered an additional day of work, a well-deserved recognition of the consistency, reliability, and dedication he brings to his role every single day.

A Familiar Face With Big Plans

Sam isn’t done yet! He is looking to upskill by completing his RSA and RCG qualifications, adding further skills to his toolkit and opening up new opportunities within his employment at the club.

Anyone who knows Sam will not be surprised by his drive. He brings an infectious energy to everything he does, with a cheeky personality and a love of a good laugh that makes him a favourite among his colleagues.

About Inclusive Employment Australia

Sam is supported through Mai-Wel’s Inclusive Employment Australia program, which works alongside participants and their employers to build lasting, meaningful employment. For Sam, that support has helped him thrive in a role that suits him well, and continues to open doors as he grows in his career.

Congratulations, Sam. Five and a half years is a fantastic milestone, and the best is clearly still to come.
