Celebrating Nyomi’s Journey!

We’re thrilled to share that Nyomi has successfully completed her 12-week block at Calvary Mt Carmel, working in laundry and lunch service!  During this time, she has gained valuable knowledge and skills, building her work capacity and physical stamina.

When Nyomi first joined the Mai-Wel Academy, she expressed an interest in Aged Care. After being out of the workforce for a while, she needed a solid foundation to build upon. With our support, she obtained her first aid certificate and embarked on this incredible journey.

Nyomi’s dedication and hard work have paid off, and she has decided to extend her experience for another 12 weeks, focusing on her newfound niche in laundry and cleaning services.

Throughout her time at Calvary Mt Carmel, Nyomi has grown in confidence, endurance, and understanding of her duties. She has even started to take on more responsibilities, like learning to use the laundry machines!

Nyomi shared her thoughts on Calvary Mt Carmel, saying, “The people here are lovely and the staff are so welcoming and nice, I like it here!”
