We’ve Been Named Business of the Year at the 2026 Singleton Business Awards

We’ve been named Business of the Year at the 2026 Singleton Business Awards, taking home the night’s highest honour alongside the award for Outstanding Not-for-Profit Organisation, sponsored by Mining NSW.

A Night of Recognition for Singleton Business

The awards were presented at a gala celebration hosted by Business Singleton on Saturday 4 July 2026, recognising the businesses, individuals and organisations making an outstanding contribution to the Singleton region. We were one of more than 20 category winners on the night, and this double win reflects the impact we continue to make across disability supports, employment services and social enterprises across the Hunter region.

Business Singleton President Anita White said the awards showcase the innovation, resilience and community spirit driving the local business sector.

“Congratulations to every finalist and winner. These awards recognise the dedication, passion and hard work of the people and businesses that help our community thrive.”

What This Means for Mai-Wel

Our CEO John Cleary said the recognition is a meaningful reflection of the dedication of our team and the impact we continue to make in the region.

“There are so many incredible things happening across Singleton, and we are proud to be a part of this community.”

Supporting the Hunter Region for Over 65 Years

For more than 65 years, we’ve delivered disability supports, employment services and social enterprises across the Hunter region, working alongside participants, employers and the broader community to create real opportunities.

This recognition from Business Singleton sits alongside a growing list of milestones for us in 2026, and reflects the work of our whole team across every part of the organisation.

Celebrating the Wider Singleton Business Community

The 2026 Singleton Business Awards also recognised Singleton Tidy Towns with the President’s Award, along with winners across categories including Excellence in Large Business, Excellence in Retail, Employee of the Year and People’s Choice, and milestone achievements for several long-standing local businesses.
