Mai-Wel are award finalists in two prestigious awards
Celebrating excellence through award recognitions in the Hunter
Across July and August, Mai-Wel has celebrated an incredible achievement, being named a finalist in multiple categories across two highly respected awards programs in the Hunter.
We have been recognised in both the 2025 Business Hunter Awards and the Newcastle Business Club Annual Awards.
These finalist recognitions not only honour the dedication of our team but also shine a light on the positive impact we create for people with disability and our broader community.
Newcastle Business Club Award Finalists
Mai-Wel is an award finalist in the Organisation category of the Newcastle Business Club Annual Awards, which honours organisations making a significant positive difference in Newcastle and the Hunter region. This recognition reflects the breadth of our impact, from creating jobs and training opportunities to fostering inclusive communities through art, music, and social programs.
We’re also incredibly proud of our Community Engagement Specialist, Jaime Canavan, who is a finalist in the Individual category. Jaime’s work builds strong connections between Mai-Wel and the community, amplifies the voices of participants, and ensures our programs reach the people who need them most. Her passion for inclusion and community engagement embodies Mai-Wel’s values in action.
The Newcastle Business Club Awards Luncheon will be held on 2 September at Earp Distilling Co. where members of the Mai-Wel team, including Jaime, will be attending to celebrate the success of organisations and individuals in the Newcastle area.
