TtW Participant Christabelle Lands the Perfect Fit with Cattell Property Solutions
Mai-Wel Transition to Work (TtW) participant Christabelle has officially gained employment with Cattell Property Solutions, where she is out and about in the community dropping flyers into mailboxes and keeping locals up to date with the current market.
The role is a perfect fit. It combines the outdoors, movement, and independence, giving Christabelle a great mix of fitness and work. Behind that success is dedication, teamwork, and support. Christabelle worked closely with her Youth Support Mentor and Business Development Representative to find a role that truly suits her goals and lifestyle, and it has all paid off. She is thriving in it.
Building Skills Alongside Employment
The role at Cattell Property Solutions is only part of the story. While working toward employment, Christabelle has stayed actively involved at Mai-Wel, completing a range of short courses to build her skills and confidence, including RSA, RCG, First Aid, and CPR.
She is also working toward a significant personal milestone of her own, her Green P’s, adding another layer of independence to everything else she is achieving at the same time.
About Transition to Work
Transition to Work supports young people aged 15 to 24 across the Hunter region to find and keep meaningful employment. Each participant is paired with a dedicated Youth Support Mentor who works alongside them to understand their goals, build their confidence, and identify roles that genuinely suit their skills and lifestyle.
The program also connects participants with local employers and Business Development Representatives, helping to match the right person with the right opportunity, just as it did for Christabelle.
