Lauren’s Success – A Mother’s Journey with Parent Pathways

We are thrilled to share the inspiring story of Lauren, a participant who has been making remarkable strides towards achieving her goals. When Lauren, a mother of 2 young children, first joined our Parent Pathways program, she worked closely with the Mai-Wel team to identify clear and meaningful goals that would guide her journey.

Together, they broke down her aspirations into achievable steps, focusing on areas that were important to her, including employment, training, and health and wellbeing. Lauren quickly identified a passion for working in the Care industry and expressed a desire to prioritise her health and fitness. With Mai-Wel’s support, Lauren was connected with a local gym where she felt welcomed and supported, helping her take the first steps toward her fitness goals.

In addition to her health journey, The Mai-Wel team helped Lauren connect with resources to pursue a career in Care. She was introduced to the program Care for Your Career a Local Jobs Programs initiative delivered by Novaskill, which opened up exciting opportunities for her future. Most recently, Lauren enrolled in a First Aid course, an important milestone on her path to working in the Care industry.

Lauren shared her excitement with us: “I just started in the Parent Pathways Program, and I’ve already hit some of my milestones. I honestly didn’t think I’d be able to achieve any of these until around July, so hitting these goals now, feels like a massive achievement for me.”

This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the dedicated support of the Mai-Wel Team. Their guidance and belief in Lauren’s potential helped her build the confidence to achieve things she once thought were beyond her reach. Together, they’ve proven that with the right support, anything is possible.
