
Mai-Wel Welcomes Two New Directors To The Board
Mai-Wel is delighted to announce the appointment of two distinguished professionals to its Board of Directors: Dr. Sherphard Chidarikire and David Belcher.
Dr. Sherphard Chidarikire brings a wealth of experience in mental health nursing and academia. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Nursing (Mental Health) and the Program Convenor of the Master of Mental Health Nursing, at the University of Newcastle. Dr. Chidarikire has previously served as a Lecturer in Mental Health at the University of Tasmania for 11 years and has extensive clinical experience as a Community Mental Health Nurse with the Tasmania Department of Health. Dr. Chidarikire’s expertise and dedication to mental health will be invaluable to Mai-Wel’s mission.
David Belcher is a well-respected former Councillor for Lake Macquarie City Council and a strategic advisor for Community Disability Alliance Hunter. With a strong background in community service and advocacy, David has been instrumental in various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people with disability. His strategic insights and commitment to community development will greatly enhance Mai-Wel’s efforts to empower individuals and create inclusive opportunities.
Both Dr. Chidarikire and David Belcher bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to the Mai-Wel Board. We are excited to see their contributions and leadership in our ongoing mission to challenge stigmas, break down barriers, and connect individuals with endless possibilities.
