Welcome to Mai-Wel in Cessnock

Mai-Wel in Cessnock is the site for disability support services, Disability Employment Services and Workforce Australia – Transition to Work in Cessnock.

Disability supports services delivered at this site assist participants to achieve their goals and dreams in line with their NDIS plan. Each program is delivered with clear objectives and outcomes that are customised to fit each participant’s needs, interests and aspirations.

Whether you have a goal to gain employment, connect with the community, build skills for independence, meet new people, or express yourself through creative arts, our team can support you!

Support services delivered at this location:

  • Workforce Australia – Transition to Work – This service is for young people aged 15 – 24 years of age, who are no longer at school and looking for their next step to get work and further education.

  • NDIS Employment Supports – These supports provide opportunities for high school students (Years 10, 11 and 12) and school leavers to learn skills and gain experience to support them to achieve their career goas.

  • Disability Employment Services – This service is for people with disability who are seeking support to find work or help to gain skills to enter their desired career path.

  • Social, Creative & Community Connection – These community and centre-based supports provide participants with opportunities to have fun, get creative, engage in their community, build skills, independence and confidence.

Mai-Wel participants can explore their creativity with creative arts tuition in Maitland and Cessnock.
