Congratulations Ally, Maitland’s 2021 Young Citizen of the Year!

Congratulations to Ally, our Mai-Wel LabourForce Solutions Business Development Representative, for being awarded the title of Maitland’s 2021 Young Citizen of the Year!

The announcement was made at Maitland’s Official Australia Day Ceremony on 26 January, recognising her passion for improving the lives of those less fortunate or disadvantaged in our community.

As President of the local Business Network International (BNI) Group, Ally leads member business professionals to grow and develop their businesses and connections in the local community. Ally takes great pride in leading this group, particularly at weekly meetings, which involves significant preparation, dedication and commitment.

Ally’s dedication to support the local community continues in her role as Business Development Representative in the MWLFS team, where she works with Maitland businesses to foster an inclusive culture and help less advantaged job seekers achieve their employment goals.

To best help MWLFS job seekers to overcome their barriers to employment, whether disability or youth disadvantage, Ally dedicates her time to truly get to know them and their needs before reaching out to local businesses to create opportunities and connections that are mutually beneficial to the job seeker and employer.

At just 24 years of age, Ally proves daily that she really cares to make a differentce in the lives of both the disadvantaged individuals and local businesses in our community.

We are so happy to have Ally on our team and to see her dedication recognised formally through one of Maitland’s most prestigious awards.

Congratulations Ally!
