Margaret’s Day at the Park

Margaret had a fantastic day out at Maybury Peace Park in Weston.

As part of the community access program at The Hill, which Margaret attends, participants are involved in the deciding on the location and planning their outings with their staff. So our participants have choice and control over where they want to go and involved in how they get there.

Margaret loved getting out in the sun at Maybury Peace Park, watching the ducks during a walk around the pond.

Another highlight of Margaret’s day was getting to try out the Liberty Swing, the accessible piece of park equipment which allows people in wheelchairs to experience the joys of going on a fully lockable swing which reaches maximum heights! Margaret was laughing and smiling as she swung through the air.

Margaret said she “really enjoyed the day out,” and she can’t wait to return to the park on another sunny day!
