Danielle’s gets experience for work with Quick Bites Café!
Once again Quick Bites Cafe has teamed up with Mai-Wel to provide one of our School Leaver Employment Supports participants with a work experience opportunity!
Meet Danielle, a participant of Mai-Wel’s Step Up program, which she accesses using her School Leaver Employment Supports funding. The Step Up initiative is delivered to Year 12 school leavers with a disability to support their transition from school to employment. The program aims to build work capacity and alleviate barriers to employment, and is designed to allow the participant to seamlessly transition to Disability Employment Services when they are ready to enter the world of work.
Danielle is participating in work experience at Quick Bites Café in Cessnock as part of her regular supports with Step Up to build her workplace capabilities and on-the-job skills as she works towards achieving her employment goals. The work experience will give her the opportunity to learn the skills and expectations of working in the hospitality industry.
Many thanks to Quick Bites Café for their ongoing support of Mai-Wel LabourForce Solutions in Cessnock. Not only have they already hired two MWLFS job seekers, they are eagerly continuing to support Mai-Wel by providing work experience opportunities and promoting inclusivity in our local community.
