Mai-Wel’s Creative Arts Band to kick off the ‘Great Northern Country’ music extravaganza, with proceeds to Mai-Wel!

Hotel Cessnock’s car park will transform into the FREE ‘Great Northern Country’ Music Festival for the afternoon of Saturday, 20 March, with a line-up of Aussie Country Music Artists, both local and from out of town, coming to perform for the crowds.

Mai-Wel are delighted to announce that our very own Creative Arts musicians will be kicking off the festivities at 1pm and playing for an hour set. From then, performances by the likes of Katie Jayne Band, Whistle Dixie, Jarred Taylor Band, Piper Rodrigues and Elias Bartholomeo, will continue the festivities throughout the evening, wrapping up at 8pm.

Each year, Hotel Cessnock elects a local charity of choice to raise funds for at this event and this year Mai-Wel is excited to be the featured charity throughout the entire day! Fundraising opportunities for Mai-Wel will be present throughout the day, including a raffle and a 100 Club, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs from some of our amazing sponsors.

Mai-Wel is so excited to be a part of this event, showcasing the talent from our Creative Arts musicians and to help raise funds for the upgrade and development of resources and facilities at Mai-Wel’s Cessnock site, Mai-Wel on Vincent.

Great Northern Country is a fantastic opportunity for the Cessnock community and visitors to the area to enjoy great food and music. To take part in the day of festivities, head to Hotel Cessnock on Saturday 20 March from 1pm and help raise awareness and funds for Mai-Wel.
