With his Mai-Wel Community Living supports, AJ has been developing his meal planning and preparation skills. They are some of the most important skills for independent living.

Recently AJ cooked his first lasagne as a treat to share with his girlfriend.

To start, AJ was supported to travel to his local shopping centre and purchase the ingredients. On returning home, he cooked the mince, compiled the lasagne and baked it in the oven. The resulting lasagne was delicious!

Next, AJ wants to tackle some dessert recipes like brownies and cupcakes.

Mai-Wel offers a range of tailored supports for people with disability in the community to meet individual needs and goals for independent living.
