Mai-Wel owns a range of beautiful purpose-built homes for people with disability to live their best life in a supported living environment and are currently in the process of building another home, which will be known as The Esperance.
The Esperance will be a home for four Mai-Wel residents who currently reside in other Mai-Wel properties. It has been an exciting time for these residents, as they’ve been able to follow the journey of the build of their new home.
The Esperance has been purpose-built to ensure it is accessible both inside and out so that residents can maximize their independence and make this home their own. This includes a number of fantastic features, such as:
- a kitchen with a large island bench, enabling residents to be involved in meal preparation,
- two living areas and a covered outdoor space, providing plenty of options for residents to enjoy time together or find a quiet space to relax, entertain family and friends or delve into their hobbies, and
- spacious bedrooms where residents can personalise their space and display their belongings, such as footy memorabilia, family photos, nick-nacks and posters of their favourite celebrities
